On-line Wood?

Tom Moran - 2-10-2009 at 04:15 AM

Hoping maybe some of the States side builders might have some advise on this.
Pittsburgh's never been known for its wood (go Steelers:xtreme: ) but recently when I went to my usual haunts in search of some mahogany for a new oud project, and places were either out of business, or not stocking anything but the most generic stuff. It's the economy.
Now I suppose, I'm looking to buy from an on-line vendor, which strikes me as a dicey proposition. Any suggestions? I'm trying to avoid specialty places like Allied, as the price will be jacked up.

Thanks

YES! It's part of West Elizabeth Lumber, which is not that far from me. I'm planning on taking a day off of work soon and make the trip. I'll let you know how it is.
