Some other guys are trying to sell Nahats for 6000 Euro, make sure you are not being taken advantage of.

:shrug:So is 14,000 too much? Are most Nahats around the 2,000 price range:shrug:

I paid 6000 Euro for an oud which was made for me by a lutheir in london called Joseph O kelly in 1994.
Most lute makers in Europe will charge this amount of money to make you an oud.
6OOO Euro or 10000 or 14000 Euro for an original Nahat is not too much money, the problem here is to find an original Nahat with great sound and in perfect condition.

Hi Mav,

I wondered the same! So when I tried to get a sound sample, I found out the oud was sold to a major museum. Has it been bought by a musician we would have had a chance to hear it.

I think the oud might have sold for more, but it had some repair work done to it.

Sounds from ouds of old.

waw! I'd give a fortune just to hear what an oud like that would sound like. I think the oldest oud I've heard is Udi Rant's oud. How old was his oud? I love that Nahat sound as well, but I was curious about Udi rant's oud since we were talking of old ouds.
