I've come across an interesting CD by the Eduardo Paniagua Group enrtitled Jardin de Al-Andalus which has quite a lot of oud playing. here is a link where you can hear sound clips from the CD:

¿Cualquiera de nuestros amigos españoles conoce a este músico?

that website forces you to add $15 to your account to purchase the album which is only $1.50.

So iomio.com have a $15 minimum? and in my case the 2 free song credit mysteriously vanished when I tried to change the songs. Also a pro web site with spelling errors on key pages scares the heck out of me! Are they legit and is it safe to give them credit card info?

It's a shame that Pneuma isn't more readily available in the US! I love Wafir Sheik's playing here, and Larbi Akrim has some incredible stuff on the same label (not to mention Omar Metioui!). Once in a while I've been able to get Pneuma at the record store I work at, but it's really inconsistent. If you go to http://www.fortedistribution.com/ and search by label you can find a list of titles that are officially distributed in the US, if you go to the welove-music.blogspot, you can find a host of titles (not that I recommend illegal downloads!) that are impossible to find here. A shame! Maybe Rashid should do a deal for all of us here at mikeouds
