Dear oud lovers
Mosaic Cafe is a cozy place, good food, and shisha is served too. A typical place to discover the middle eastern culture in food and music. Below you
find moments from several of my performances at the Mosaic cafe.
Hope to see you and meet whomever is in DC or visiting the area.

Congrats for this gig.
I did not yet had the time to listen all the records, but what is the first piece you are playing alone (souheil mosaic1) ? Personnal " fantasy " or a
melody coming from another composer?Christian1095 - 9-23-2009 at 07:12 AM
Brother, Sounds great - but your playing is always impressive... And it looks like you were having a good time too... I'm really impessed by how
comforatable and relaxed you look... that's a major weak spot in my playing... I amost always get the shakes a little.katakofka - 9-23-2009 at 03:06 PM

thanks Chris..the comfort on stage is due to the fact that I've been on stage since youth. I still remember the gorgeous dancer who sit on my lap when
I was like 15 years old being on stage with her band. Since that time I loveeeeeee the stageChris_Khouri - 9-23-2009 at 03:14 PM
Congratulations Suhail. I saw some of the recordings and you sounded really good. The oud performance was amazing as always, and the oud sounded
amazing. katakofka - 9-23-2009 at 06:56 PM

Chris...you should do the same man..post your performances. This is the only way to make people coming to the cafe, advertising, so we can enjoy
better our performances. Thanks for the compliment dear.
thanks

You have an important point Suhail. You seem to be very active in the field of the muslc and the internet. You're doing a great job documenting your
performances. let's not forget though that you are light years ahead of me and I can only learn from you musically MatthewW - 9-27-2009 at 01:11 AM
Well done Souheil! Your many years experience playing the oud and singing in this genre is evident, as mentioned above you look totally relaxed and
the music flows naturally. Anyone there in the audience that night who plays this sort of music would have been in for a real treat.
Did you get any georgeous dancers ( or a waitress) to sit on your lap after the show?
all the best- MWkatakofka - 9-27-2009 at 08:22 AM

yes, in the middle of the performances, the dancer was on a leg the waitress on the other leg, one is having the risha in her hand the other playing
