What's with all the new posts on obviously out-dated topics, all by new (single post) members under different female names who all have the same "Simulation pret" link at the bottom of their posts?

Looks like an insiduous advertising scam to me!

Update!! They must have read my post, now they are joining using other names and commenting on newer posts, with different links at the bottom, but still connected and leading to the same company!!

Ahh, it's all in French, but it's some kind of real estate credit company...

It looks like a property grab, though of course it may not be. My french isn't that good.

There are some set-ups where you get them to pay your bills and they get a hold over your house. They know that people with large credit card bills and mortgage underpayments are likely to default. Then they get the house. If you can keep up the payments, they're at a very high interest rate, so they rake it in anyway: Modern day loan sharks.

It's also possible that they are altruistic and ethical and wouldn't countenance such methods.

Yes, and it seems they have discovered that this is a pretty active forum and are using us to get as many hits as possible for their site and maybe get our money, houses, and souls as well!

Gee they don't give up do they, as fast as our intrepid moderators get rid of them they sign up again with a different name! check out the comment by new USER "Caine" in the professional sound clips forum, it's utter nonesense!! They obviously don't (or can't) even read the posts!

They're coming thick and fast! :mad: ...this is starting to sound like a witch hunt! :rolleyes: another post that fernandraynaud responded to in buy and sell. This one leads to a mob flogging laptops.
Looks like Mike's is on the "mailing list" we got ad's now, maybe we should charge 'em for the advertising space and buy more ouds with the proceeds, at this rate we'll all have a new oud each in no time! :D

This time a Satellite Internet Service is being touted under the guise of a question about where the 'Internet Archive' site can be found. ImyWith, why not use your High Speed services and do a search for the site?!

They're really getting cheeky now! copying bits of other members posts and using them as their own comment to make it look like they're legit! check the "Rochellemegan" post in cd reviews...

She just cut and pasted a bit of Brian's post from up near the top of the page!! And "Broode" is using smilies trying to look like a happy member

But the links are dead giveaways.
