It was as always a great pleasure to see you and the others again ... just a note to those across the pond ... it was a 520 mile round trip for me to
get from the South coast to Manchester, which is big travel for the UK 
) ... but
it is definately worth it.
What I really noticed is that the level of playing has really hotted up, you are all going places with this and I really enjoyed hearing you all and
the musical journeys these wonderful instruments are taking you on.
Awad, I'll send a cdrom with photos from the other meetings as promised, to Kelly so he can give you a copy - I simply didn't get the chance to
document this meeting but others were filming and recording away.
Can't wait till the next meeting

Yep, another fantistic meeting! 
We all have different styles and it's
actually hard to try and learn from each and every player, so I usually pick someone different each time and focus on them. 
It's also great when people bring along drums and Glenn with his Guitar. Pity Michael couldn't come to do some beats!! Also we miss Charlie and Dave,
so we hope you three can make it next time.

Sounds like you all had a good time. Sorry I couldn't be there. I don't have a car at the moment (it died) and the train fare was quite expensive.
I should be mobile again before the end of the year so should have no trouble making the next get-together (so long as it's not in Aberdeen!!!).

It has been a pleasure to meet with you all in Manchester for the first time. I was amazed how good oud players you are I felt that I am meeting a family as oppose to individuals. Certainly there is
a lot for me to learn from you guys and for sure that will not be my last visit to Manchester 
. So thank you Awad, Michael Mousa, Kelly, Glen, Leon, Owen, Osman and the rest of the Sudanese gang for this
fantastic meeting. By the way my Ghadban is coming along fine.
NB The food was fantastic too.
