Old oud of unknown origins

I have an old oud in a very sorry state of disrepair. It belonged to my father-in-law and I think it was purchased in Lebanon around 1939.

I removed and scanned the label. Interestingly, it was hand-written, but when I removed it, the back was printed. The printed part seems to refer to a shop or maker at 155 Rue Georges, Picon (Beirut). I will try to attach a jpg of both sides of the label, together wish a risha that was well hidden in the peg box. Could it be that I have found an elusive tortiose risha ??

I would appreciate it If anybody can shed some light on the name and any other details on the maker of this instrument.

G'day Greg

I could only read a few words there .

It seems to say " The famous oudist named *Levon the Istanbulian (which mean who is from Istanbul) then it says the street name and area"
* His name is not that clean but that was my best guess.

Interesting that it has a date written according to the islamic Hijri Calender
(7th of the month Moharam 1359)
If that date was the year of the make for that oud then it's around 66 years old oud since it is 1425 this Hijri year.

I wish could help you more mate, I hope that anybody would know more info.

Good luck Greg

Thanks Emad,

That's a good start. I reckon you would be spot-on with the date. I reckoned it was around 1939, your translation makes it 1938. Thanks for your help.
