Pilgrim by Edward Powell
most everyone in the forum will have come across our friend Edward. I have two of his previous CDs, and have just had a good listen to his latest CD
'Pilgrim' What I love about his music is that not only does he have a very good understanding of 'Western' musical genres, from rock to funk to blues
and jazz, but is also at home with most 'Eastern' ones as well, from the maqam to the raga and most anything in between. And not only in his head, he
plays them all, and pretty darn good too. There are some outstanding musicians on this one as well. If you appreciate good world music fusions, this
is one cool Cd.
