Good musical accompaniment software

Does anyone know of any accompaniment software that you can play with?

I've come across Tanpura Generator which is fun but costs €50, and there is another program [not quite as good but free] called Your Tanpura.

http://www.yourtanpura.co.nr

Here is a shruti generator you can download:

Can anyone recommend anything else? Especially stuff with a Middle Eastern percussion element.

Hi Lysander
If your familiar with software and daw (protool, reaper, ableton live etc...) you'll find a lot of vst and vsti to play with you.
Example : Wizoo darbuka.

For indian music I've this soft :riyazstudio, not free but worth it ! :)
But the better accompaniment will always be a real human !

As far as I am aware Wizoo darbuka was discontinued a while ago. Thanks for the recommendation of Riyaz, didn't know about that - and it's cheaper than Tampura Generator!
