Aquila strings Turkish set on Arabic ouds
Here is what I calculated for tension in newtons of strings when an Aquila Turkish set (daeBF#E) is used on an Arabic oud, scale length 61 cm and
tuned to cgdAFC:
C2 41.5
F2 42.1
A2 37.4
D3 39.7
G3 35.9
C4 38.9
If the scale length is different then the new tension is the square of the ratio of the new scale length to the original (61 cm) multiplied by the
original tension as follows: T2 = T1*(L2/L1)^2
So the longer the scale length the higher the tension in same string for same tuning.

I just got the Turskish set, but the one (daeBAE), so I think the lowest pitched strings will be too low when tuned to F C
I really want the strings that you referenced.
