changing one string to the next


hi all i am not so good but i really try to play the oud i am having alot of troubkle switching from one string to the next what u think i shou ld do or what i shouldt do thx

Best thing to do is practice. practice moving left hand. then right hand. then together. It is hard not to go fast but its always been recomended to start of going slowly so you hands can memorize the motions and distance between each string. when you can do it slowly and good then move faster and faster till it becomes easier. Use a mirror if you need to look or use a metronome to switch on each beat.
