Turkish Oud for Sale

Hi guys,

I have a Turkish oud for sale. The bowl is made of walnut and mahogany, the face is spruce, and the fingerboard/pegs are ebony. This oud has a very strong and bassy tone. The price is $700.

Here are some pics, and I'll be uploading a sound file soon also.

Take care,

mavrothis

A very good looking oud, Mav. Who was the artist who made this one?

Hi,

I believe the maker's name is Kadir.

Take care,

Hi,

Thanks my friend. Here is the sound file. I used my pc mic, let me know if you'd rather have a better recording. It has a good bassy tone, and is pretty even across all the strings I think. The action is also pretty nice, making this a nice gigging ud, or a nice step up from a lower quality beginner's instrument. I think anyone who gets this instrument will be very happy with it, and also will not have to worry about problems with the pegs or anything like that.

Let me know what you think and if you are interested.

Take care,

mavrothis

Hi guys,

I've been playing this oud a little and I feel that the action needs to be lowered a little bit. It definitely needed better strings, the ones from Turkey were too heavy and dull.

So, I'm unlisting the instrument for now. If it's for sale again I'll relist it. Thanks.

Take care,

mavrothis
