Cow Horn Rishas

Does anyone know where I can buy cow horn rishas?
I used to get them from Mid East Manufacturing years ago and can't find them now.
Thank you.

Hello Zulu!

Better try at Morty's shop in the netherlands and ask for shipping first. His price for one risha is 4 Euro. I mean, you get five rishas for the price of one at arabinstruments. Quality is ok, I bought three from him once.

Risha

Greetings from Klaus in Germany!

I contacted John, he doesn't make rishas anymore.
I will check the other sources suggested.
Thanks everyone.

Egyptian oud makers could provide you with raw horn reeshas that need a bit of finishing.
Try to contact Mahmoud Mustafa or Sayid Fathi Ameen or Redha oud.

Try eBay. Honestly I think either way you will need to work a bit more on the shape.

I may also make a run of them and offer them for sale if there is enough demand.

I bought one from him and love it. The sound of the horn richa is much better if you compare it to plastic. :airguitar:
