Pumice pour fill before French polishing the sound board

Hi, has anyone tried to pour fill the sound board with pumice before French polishing, if so, any effect on the overall sound of the oud?
Cheers

I don't think this would be a good idea. Quartered spruce doesn't really have pores to fill. You can achieve a glass like surface without using any pore filler. It's mostly a practice for hardwoods like rosewood which can have relatively deep pores.
