Salam, hola, salut, hi

New to this forum, another abd el 'oud ibn ishaq el mawsili like you all.

Did you know about loutar, the 'oud fm the moroccan berbers of the atlas?.

Let's listen to some heaven improvisations by his highness master Mohammed Rouicha

(with nice loutar photos in the site)

http://dias38.skyblog.com/

The charateristic ryhtm is 6/8 played with bendir, kind of northafrican riqq ( t - t d - - ka ta - d - -)

I think the mode is busahlik but it seems that imazighen musiciens of the moroccan atlas have their own modes.

Can anybody advise, confirm or deny?

Would you imagine playing like him on 'oud ??
