An amazing peice of art made by the master Shehata is for sale with extras! (See photos below).

This oud was custom made for me by Mr. Shehata, but I have no time to take care of it in the mean time, so I am selling it.


Oud Specs

-Top:Spruce

-Bowl: pellysander rosewood

-Neck:Walnut

-Pegbox:Walnut&Rosewood

-Fingerboard, Pegs, Bridge and Pickguard:Ebony

-String length, 58.5cm.

-Stringed with 13 NEW aquila strings .
The tuning bass C,FF,AA,DD,GG,CC,high FF.

In addition I am including the following as extras:
- Extra set of NEW Aquila strings
- 2 Extra sets of Pyramid Strings
- 3 Rishas
- Basic Maqam Teaching (book and CD)

Hello doud.

I have had this oud for about 6 months. But as I mentioned above, I am very busy traveling in and out of the country that I can no longer take care of my ouds.

Regarding the price, It is not common that people will tell you how much they bought an oud for, specially if it was custom designed for them. But I can assure you that it cost me a lot more than what I am offering it for if that is a concern.

There is no way that I can compare the two ouds. Each has its own special beauty and style. One is traditional "Shehata's", and the other is based on Bashir style's "Ghadban's".
