i just received the strings mike

hi, i have a quick question, i just received the thomastik-infeld 315AE, all the packages say strings for aoud on them except the thickest one, it says, CR43 Silverplated Copper Round Wound Guitar String .043 and on the back of it it says note E, is this the right string even though it says guitar and note E when its supposed to be a wound G? or does wound g mean the 3rd course(string)?

I have that set as well. I think that string is originally made for a classical guitar or some other instrument, but they use it for their oud set as the the single bass string.

Cool Merc...congrats bud. Yeah, that string will be fine. Sam is right, it is a classical guitar string, and you can tune it down to D or C with no problem. It will sound just fine.
