wanted:oud

hi,
I'd like to buy an oud. I am a very beginner and I'd like to prefer buying a Turkish one. I'd accept some used-good ones. I want that oud for both learning and for the future. However, I don't have a good bugdet. So is there anywhere you'd recommend me to buy an oud, both cheap and good quality.
Thank you so much,
zz80

You can find a very nice beginner's turkish oud at CANKAYAMUZIKEVI for a reasonable price, if you can't find a nice used one online or where you live.

Good luck,

zz, I hope you find what you're looking for. Unfortunately, I doubt you will like that sound of a student oud. Considering that you want an oud to play rather than one for decoration, I'd ask that you try to put some money aside for it. An oud fund, if you will. I haven't had any experiences with ouds like this, but I do know that most people who buy from ebay for around this price don't end up with what they want. If it's more of an introductory thing, then be my guest. I wish the best for you and the life with the oud that you will begin soon.

thanks for everyone who replied. I guess I'll have to delay starting playing oud a while 'cause I want to buy a good one with no shipping in Turkey. So when I go there, I'll try to buy one,
Thank you for your guide,
Best regards,

The best deal I can get you is a Syrian oud made by Mouwafaq Khalifa for $250 plis shipping from New York. This oud is an intermediate oud so it's perfect for you to begin.
