www.oudcafe.com update: Hicaz Humayun Saz Semai by Yusuf Pasha

Hi guys.

There is a new update at the Oud Cafe, with the very beautiful (and fun) saz semai by Yusuf Pasha in the makam Hicaz Humayun.

The master's taksim example is by Udi Hrant, and is really beautiful.

Over the next few months we'll be going over various forms of the makam hicaz. Next will be Hicaz Uzzal.

Take care, and feel free to send comments or questions.

Regards,

mavrothis

Thanks guys, you're the best.

I'd really like to hear your feedback on this Semai, it's one of my favorite compositions of all time.

Are there other pieces in Hicaz (Hijaz) that you guys really like?

Take care,

mavrothis

Hi Niko. How about I post it here, it's really beautiful. If this doesn't work for you, just let me know.
