Taiseer Elias

Hey guys,

I just got the Ziryab Trio album that my friend oudman recommended to me. It is really amazing. I know most of you might have it, but I think it's worth possibly repeating that Elias is incredible. His playing sometimes just explodes, other times it's all soul.

I think it's easily one of my favorite cd's in my collection now.

Let me know what you guys think of Taiseer Elias, and if there are any other recordings out there by him, possibly a solo album?

Take care,

mav

I dont know of any solo album, he has recorded a bunch of cds with the group bustan abraham, and has a cd entitled Arabandi, East meets West where he plays with a sarod player.

Hi all
Taiser didn't record a solo album.
In my opinion he is the best oud player in Israel. He teach in the Jerusalem Academy of Music (he was the teacher of my current
teacher,Samir Makhoul).Actualy he is responsible of the musical desk of the israeli radio in arabic Sawt Israil.
My best regards.
Bruno.

Geia sou Mav

Loipon...The title of the Cd is "Abadai" and it has 2-3 songs that are well known (if you are familiar with Ross Daly's music) ...especially "Iokasti's Dream"

here you can see info

Tell me if you want me to send you something...
