Label of Mohamed Fadel Hussin

Hello

I am looking for the picture of the label of oud made by Mohamed Fadel Hussin.
As for oud by Mohamed Fadel Hussin, is the design of the label different because of
made year?
Mohamed Fadel Hussin that I had was heard making in 1972 from the seller.
The truth concerning this oud is not certain.

Regards,
tsugumi

Dear tsugumi,

I would like to clear apoint about Mohammed Fadhel, i saw hundredes of Mohammed Fadhel ouds in different periods from 40's untill he past away in Nov 2002, in each period he had a different label, i saw 5 different labels for Mohammed Fadhel ouds and all of them are oreginals.

I have pic for some of them i'll post it later.

The Question is why did he did that, i dont reall know. it might be for the following reasons (In my perssonel opinion):

• Variety for each period of his production.

• Variety for each class of his production for example special made oud have different label than other ouds or could be that professional ouds for academic players had a different label than other normal ouds.

• This possibility I will conceder the lest as that what I heard from some close people to the Mohammed fadhel family, I heard that as Mohammed Fadhel was getting old starting from the mid 70’s his sons were miss using there father label as they were making ouds (Non Professional, very poor finishing) and selling them as original Mohammed Fadhel.

Now this is a very serious accusation I don’t know the rational behind it, but to tell you the truth I have saw some Mohammed Fadhel ouds which they are fake but they have the original labels! It might be the person who faked the making faked also the label or printed the same exact label!! That needs a professional artist to do so.

This issue is what makes it hard for some one like you or others when they want to buy Mohammed Fadhel ouds.

There are small details in Mahammed Fadhel ouds that can point out a fake from an original which I will point to it later on.

hi tsugmi, the last label is a certificate stating that Mohamed Fadel manufactured the oud (#672) in 1998. it is signed by Fateh Mohamed Fadel, Mohamed Fadel Hussein, and Omar Mohamed Fadel.

hope this helps

Omar M Fadel (no relation :D )
