First, I'm sorry, I don't speak very well english.
I'm french. Your web site is very great and I would like to thank you for your information ! Your instruments are beautifull !!
A friend have a syrian oud with plastic fingerboard..
It wasn't very pleasant to play with it..
I 've made a new bridge
And removed plastics
a beautiful walnut !!!

wow aren't you scared those big clamps you have on top of the oud might damage the face? I'm referring to the last picture.

Hello,
You're right, but I put pieces of inside the oud to protect the top.
Are you thinkig about weight ?
I was difficult to tighten the neck (round) with the fingerboard.
the final wasn't very good. The fingerboard was no more thick and It was impossible to have a good sound.
I did an other fingerboard, and today, the sound in very beautiful.
