New Bashir oud from Dr. Cengiz Sarikus
For those of you how enjoy looking at new ouds and that feeling of excitement.... I have a few photos to present my new oud from Dr. Sarikus.
Dr. Sarikus surprised me by adding extra detail of the Abalone detail trim to the sound holes and the inlay work to the pick guard.
There was a brief panic attack on my part from shipping via Turkish Post - I thought it was lost and delivered to another state, but the next day, it
showed up in perfect condition.
Delicate overtones with clean separation of the bass and treble notes. I am trying to play finger style (like flamenco) and this oud is well suited
for my attempts - no buzzing. I have only had it for 2 weeks, so I am sure it will open much more as it is played and allowed to sing.
Sorry - I value this oud to much to torture any of you with a sound recording. Dr. Sarikus did post a youtube video of this ous being played before he
send it... I will have to see if I can find it.

You escaped Bellevue just in time... we have had a set of storms come in and dump quite alot of snow (a least for us...).
