Need help repairing

HI,
I do not know what this piece is called but its a little white that the string lays on. Its piece that sits between the fingerboard and the peg box. Well as I was un stringing my instrument this little piece happened to fall off. Any advice on how to fix it?

That piece (the nut) is not typically glued, its just held on by the tension of the strings. All you need to do is restring your oud and put the nut in place as you restring it. Once you have the first string in there with the slightest amount of tension it will be held in place.

You may also opt to glue it in there. If you choose to do so, then use a tiny drop of glue in the middle of the groove on the fingerboard where the piece should fit and place the nut in place.

Use only a very small amount of glue, you want to be able to remove the piece and replace it easily in the future as the strings cause the string channels to get deeper and it would need to be replaced.
