Sold. Sukar Model 1 for sale
For sale is my Sukar Model 1 that I bought from Fernandraynaud on this board several months ago. I really love it but unfortunately I have to fund
some other musical purchases. This oud has had the face polished and comes with a Sukar hard case. With the action high it has a very nice old school
Egyptian sound, think George Michel or similar. I'm asking $500 including insured shipping anywhere in the U.S. International buyers can contact me

Though I'd put up some images from when I had the oud. I don't think Ameer has trashed it since ;-) It's a beautiful walnut. The black points are
markers on the old strings, not on the fingerboard. FWIW the soundboard was Belgian Polished to an eggshell semi-gloss, and the neck was coated with
(hard) Tung Varnish, and has resisted grooving from the wound strings very well. The sustain was also enhanced.

Hi guys,
I purchased this oud from Ameer last year and am putting it up for sale again.
It's a very nice instrument and an excellent value, but I've got another oud I prefer now. Najib Shaheen did some great work on it for me, re-fitting
the tuners as well as sanding the fingerboard and reapplying tung oil.
Like all Sukars, this oud has a loud, projecting sound with a lot of bass. Ameer's sound file at http://www.4shared.com/mp3/lTsFXmG9/taqsim_nahawand.htm is quite accurate. On a purely aesthetic note, the walnut bowl is really beautiful.
The case has taken a real beating, so is no longer included, and the price is $600 plus shipping.
