An exciting new project from the hands of young Oud maestro Joseph Tawadros. Recorded at Avatar studios in New York over two days in February 2012,

through cross-cultural, and cross-genre collaboration and improvisation.
"They are a grand tree, their thoughts
rooted deep in the ground, stable and
strong while their many branches submit
to growth, oblivious to direction, but
reaching for the stars."

That's got to be something else - apart from JT, Bela Fleck is one of my favourite musicians. I'll be ordering this.
Good luck

I had a chance to hear some rough mixes just after the studio sessions, and was blown away.
I think it's safe to say this will be an incredible album from Joe, James and friends.

IMHO This combo is better than one with "What-a-guy Abercromby". What to say but to.
Can we call this JT's oud music genre oo(ud)-bop.

Nice to see good old Roy Ayers still alive and having fun.
Can't wait to see this CD in European shops.

I like these videos, thanks for sharing
Joseph gives the oud acclaim for Western ears and it is not nothing! Clichés die hard, and I appreciate to listen to the oud on jazz radio station.

Thanks Joe, a very interesting selection of tracks from the new album. Whilst we have heard some of these pieces previously, this instrumentation
brings a whole new (and delightful) feel. And your playing and that of James has never been better.
Dare I say that you guys are at the height of your powers on this album. Wonderful!
It is difficult to find words to describe the playing of your chosen side-men. All were spectacular. It is also hard to understand how jazz banjo and
the B3 could fit so well with oud, req and bendir, but they do. A great album, thanks Joe and James.
Regards,
Greg

Hi again,
any news about an European release date? Will it also be released by ABC Records in Europe?
So far I only found MP3 downloads, but sorry ... my ears hate MP3s for a good reason
So I'm waiting for the CD.
Greetings from Germany
Chris
