Professional custom made Wallnut Sukar Oud for sale (+SOUND file))
Hi!
This is a spesial order oud from Sukar (1/7/2009) with
1- Aged Spruce sound board
2- Wallnut bowl, 15 ribs
3-Ebony fingerbaord
4-Ebony Pegs (with mother of perl eye and gold ring)
5-Ebony pickgard
6-Floating bridge (wallnut)
7- String length 58,5cm (I tune it EAADDggccff, New Daniel Marie Strings). If you want another tuning, you should put new stings!).
8- 3mm action on the body joint (adjastable!). Easy to play, with NO buzz!

p.s. it has a fixed crack on the first rib. Only visible up close. Does not affect the sound. Otherwise it is just perfict.
The sound file was too big. So I do this instead
The take is made this summer in a chearch in Oslo that is known for its good accustics.
Of course it is this oud that I used on the take. It is also this oud you see on the main page. Hope you like the music
Price is $800 plus shipping ($60 in europe with usual post. arrives in one week. But I have to pack it myself, and I don't know how to do that and
what that would cost. We will have to find out about all this).
p.s. I will not send it without post insurance (i don't know the cost of insurance yet)!

Just copy the original photo to a different directory/folder (to keep the original untouched) and use IrfanView to make it smaller for the forum ... it's free and easy to use ... and a great, fast photo viewer too. After installing it, you'll find
the users manual in the Help menu. Maybe check out the FAQ on the website too.

spending too much of my life playing oud, I did not learn other things

JPG is the file format in which digital cameras usually save photos.
So just copy the photo file to a different directory/folder using Windows Explorer and use IrfanView to resize the photo ... download and install IrfanView first
After starting IrfanView use File/Open to choose the photo and hit CTRL+R to change it's size. Don't forget to save it afterwards
Hey come on ... that's really simple ... if not, ask a friend for a little computer workshop, because this are absolutely basics.

It might also help to go into Windows Control Panel and change the Folder Options, so that file extensions of known file types are not hidden. Then photo files will be shown in Windows Explorer like
DSC000111.JPG or similar (filename.jpg), depending on what digital camera you use.

I`m shure I`d like the music like your picture on the homepage
but I could`t find any sounfile, and there`s no background-music.
I tried firefox and explorer? What went wrong????

On the top of the page, you'll find 4 icons. One of them is "Musikk" (do you write it the same way in german?).
klikk it.. and hopefully you get the music files.
Please let me know in case it doen't work.

seems like I´m getting blinder every day,hmm,the older I get the more contrast is needed
How I expected.......like the musiK(k) very much. The oud sounds very good to me, and the arrangement and your timing on Bint Shalabya is different to
all other versions I know.

Sazi, I knew this question will come, espesially that the oud is cheap for its quality.
It is good to have "skeptics" on this wanderful forum (I have also played that roll too on this Forum )
I have went 7-course. And as Katakofka puts it: "when you go there, you don't go back"
These last two years I have had a "oud feaver" (don't we all have that?! ), and
bought 6 ouds and already ordered a new one that will be ready the end of the
month 
I don't really "want" to sell... but now I realize that my little apartment (40 squar m) is "drawning" in ouds.. and soon there is no place for me
And there is no way I can play all of them. Of course I always only play the last ones
No reason really why I am selling this particular one (eccept that it is the cheepest. And even though it is young, I have 3 younger ouds who need
more "care"
So, If anyone is interrested in any other of my ouds (for example the Rosewood oud on 2 of the pictures), no problem, they can buy anyone, as long as
I know the oud would be taken care of!

Your web page is missing, and docx files can only be opened with the latest version of MS Office, which I don't have.

Because I encountered the same problem in private correspondences I installed the ...
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack
... which makes it possible to open Office 2007 file formats with older Office versions (minimum Office 2000).
But as said before ... we should use JPG photos in the forum.

Im interested in this ud! The price is 800 usd plus shipping? I currently play a conservatory ud from istanbul but want to upgrade and I will love
this instrument -if it likes me! Im not sure what else to ask as I am an intermediate player that has spent a few years playing sheet
music(khalife,farid)but now will concentrate on taksims,freestyle. Ive bought only one instrument over internet (clarinet) and had to return it so is
there a return policy with you? Just in case but it sounds good in that church recording. Aslo,can you explain the floating bridge a bit more? Im very
sensitive to intonation and fixed bridge keeps me from tweaking and twisting!thank you very much.james

Kredit, yes it is 800 dollars plus shipping.
If you are afraid that you don\t like it, I would advize you to try before bying!
I don\t know what to tell you about floating bridge! I'd say it gives more "attack" style.
Maybe you should get a fixed bridge oud!? More "tarab" style?
