Ebony Pegs??


I heard that ebony pegs could be used for the 3ood. If ound some on ebay. I wanted to sak you what size could be used for the3 3ood? Is it the same size as in the violin?

Could someone give me some info or advice concerniniig this?

You can use violin or viola pegs. If the holes on your pegbox are a bit large, go for the viola. You'll have to fit them either way. It's not as simple as just popping new pegs in. Check Zulkairnan's site for peg info. How much are the ones on ebay? I've sold many sets and would be happy to supply you with some. (ebony violin pegs are $26 for 12 pegs) They are also available in rosewood, boxwood. Actually, lute makers frown on the use of ebony because of it's abrasive nature, but I don't think it's much of an issue if they fit very well.

Pegs


Hi Jameel thank you,

I am not sure what the prices are for these pegs on ebay. I am currently trying to decide what the best thing to do with the 3ood is. I am not sure if I am going to buy the pegs yet. I will contact you if I deicde soon.
