My pleasure to have been in any way of assistance Yaron.
I am interested to know which of the surviving 'Baroque' guitars that you are using as an historical model for this project.
Nice work - good luck.

Thanks jdowning, I bought the plan from http://www.luth.org by G.A.L
It is measured by R.E. Brune; drawn by John Morgan. Scale length 68.8CM. Perhaps owned by Marie Antoinette. 5 double courses, 9 tied frets; highly vaulted back. One sheet 30" x 48".

Most of my building is based on this plan, but I didn't like the mustache and the ornaments, so I am doing a compromise between this plan and a flat back baroque guitar made by Stradivarius.

I still need to ask you a specific question about the cutting knifes you use on your lathe

Yaron.

Thanks Yaron - that is a nice example of a French guitar of the period to follow.

No problem with questions about the cutting knives - ask away!
