Shalom Sammy,

For Arabic classic music with riq as the main (or only) percussion, I recommend Husain Sabsaby's recording, "KHUMASEE AL-MUSEEQA AL-ARABIYA." I purchased my copy (cheap) from Rashid Sales on line. Their web site is (IMHO) extremely user-unfriendly. I suggest phoning them and/or going to their shop in Brooklyn.

There is an image of the CD art and song list at: http://www.oudsabsaby.com/music/sound.htm

I am listening to that CD right now...

Kol tuv,
John

Riq is the main percussion in most of Marcel's songs e.g. caress, Jadal n etc

Hi Sammy,

A few more:

Samer Totah, “Ghofran”: http://www.samaproduction.com/order.htm

Nidaa Abu Mrad, for example.: http://www.buyarabic.com/storeItem.asp?ic=MUAR001491

Ensemble Morkos: http://www.amazon.com/Cedre-Arabo-Andalusian-Muwashshah-Ensemble-Mo...

Lebanese recordings are often the best bet!

Kol tuv,
John
