21 strips of Pear and Chery, all other are Honduras Mahogany, and Ebony.
Turkish size and tuning.

Yes I am looking for the accurate technique for inlaying that "mihrab" into the soundboard

Make the piece first,
put it on the face where you want to inlay it and then take an xacto blade knife and trace the contour very precisely.
remove the material inside with a gouge or chisel

The rear skid is rough only for gluing the ribs - after it becoms less than a half!!
