Iraqi oud bracing fotos

Hi Friends

I am interested to know if any of you have fotos of soundboard bracing for FLOATING BRIDGE style ouds.

I personally have not had much experience making floating bridge ouds and really would like to know what is the main difference in bracing between floating bridge and fixed bridge ouds... or IS there a difference in bracing at all?

I wonder if there is also a difference in soundboard thickness?

I know many oud makers such as Faruk and Ramazan simply calibrate their tops to one thickness, and do not thin the top down in any other areas.... do some oud makers do this? Certainly violin makers do this, and guitar makers usually make the top a bit more thin around the edges to increase bass.

thanks

I'm sure that the old timers calibrate their tops with different thickness. As ı remember 2 mm around the great hole and 1,7 near bass side and 1,3 near the treble side. :wavey:
