Hello everyone, I bought Sabbassi oud of $ 675 euros, I asked him to reduce the price to 600 he did not accept . and after 6 days to reduce the amount
to 600 euros, and after his speech by telephone is the amount to 650 euros
It gave me 4 reasons to change the price
1- tha suprus price higher than the price of cider
2 - Indian Rose wood price more expensive than a walnut and mahogany
3 - 600 not include shipping
4 - Fadel the 25 euro reduction is for encouragement

look i have purchased 2 ouds from sabbassi and i am happy he is a reputable seller and honest i dont know him personally but i can tell you he makes a
fantastic oud . He's ouds are a work of art and in my opinion are worth alot more. so fadel i think you got a great oud for a good price be happy with
it brother because i can say when u play it you will be glad you bought it.

I bet there would be enough other people around the forums interested in buying a brand new rosewood oud for 650 Euros incl. bag and shipping. Don't
you think so?
If you think it's too expensive, don't buy it and try to find a cheaper oud of similar quality for less ... good luck ... it will be a hard search.
Sorry, if I sound a bit harsh, but I can't understand, what's the problem here. You first accepted Sabbassi's offer of 675 Euros for oud, bag &
shipping and now this "basar behaviour" even after he reduced the price to 650.

I would respectfully do a little calculation of how much time it would take to make an oud like this and look at the hourly rate and reflect on what
you would expect to be paid for that time.
If we keep putting pressure on the makers - you certainly won't get the chance to get such an oud at anything like this price.

Hi Fadel,
I bought the 4th oud on the list from Samir. I saw also the price decrease that you mentionned.
I was really not upset.. why ? because the price that you paid is, in France the price of a Sukar model one. Samir ouds are a real bargain for
European players. He does his best to make very good instruments at a honest price. If he wants to lower the prices a bit to speed up the sale
what's the problem ?

I thought everybody knew that.
By the way, as others already said, I think it's difficult to get so a nice oud for that price.

Thanks for the trust and nice comments. Well I'm a memeber of this forum for long time now , and haven't had had something like this before.
I just read it 10 min ago. my god !!!! the thread name is sabbassi, make me happy though
any way I have no comments to put online because I always believe things should be solved between the buyer and the seller in a friendly manner.
although there is nothing to solve here .
Oud making is a hobby, and my passion also, I do not make my living of it. I'm very proud that people enjoy my ouds and play with it. I'm thankful for
that. this are 4 different ouds, if all the ouds were the same, I would maybe agree.
What if I asked in the begining lower price for the other ouds, I'm almost sure you would still have gone for the indian rosewood.
you also could have said: samir you are asking too much for the others, mine is more valuable

I am happy to u comments but that the price changes for no reason this is strange .the next time I'll wait to lowering the price, but the problem is
that we will not know when they will change the price.
I have spoken with friends interested in buying ouds but I do not know what I tell them how much price.
I am happy that these discussions will help everyone who wants to buy or learn about the oud .

Fadel what is the issue my friend, I actually din't want to reply but lets face it.
I'm not going to do mouse and cats games here , I have better things to do . (He sent , I said, I asked , he did). why don't you just ask me the track
number instead of telling every one mikeouds. Mobile, messsages, 1, 2 4 etc..
I may have not or did sent the track number, do you trust anyone in this planet?
I can translate:
I have sent many ouds and no one have been broken, I make a good and solid box including the soft b ox. the oud is insured by the selling price.
we have been chating a lot true u2u as friends , why don't you put the whole thing in mike ouds. p in a ....
We are all oud lovers and all doing this for fun of business.
As far as I'm concerned I'm doing it for fun, so lets keept it this way please.

Fadel you are accusing me indirectly of cheating or dishonesty.of what. I can lower, higher ask anything. I made this ouds myself. your oud is not the
same as the other ouds.
I guess i'm not the only one having issues with you Fadel.

Paying up front is the price for the security of the exact instrument you want. I fail to see how this is a problem here. I would gladly pay in order
to secure the instrument I want.
I fear these kind of threads could stifle/discourage new luthiers.

Please samir dont stop making ouds it would be a shame if you hide your talent from the world of ouds because you truly are a master and artist I love
playing your ouds they are fantastic and everyone that plays your ouds here in melb Australia thinks that they sound magical keep up the good work and
KEEP MAKING OUDS BECAUSE I WOULD LOVE ANOTHER ONE WHEN I CAN AFFORD IT !!!!!!!!!
