Rast Randomness

The following are just some random rast improvisations recorded with my internal laptop microphone.

I am still a beginner and would appreciate any feedback.

The file was split into two pieces because of size limitations.

Hi.
Nice!
You are not too much of a beginner in my opinion.
Nice modulation to Saba/Dilnishin too:applause:

I thought I detected some Yemeni influence too maybe?

Thanks for sharing, I'm currently working on this maqam, and I'm far to do as well as you. Keep on playing! :airguitar:

Thanks Guys, and I am truly a beginner. More practice would be helpful but its hard to find the time.

Jono, there was absolutely no Yemeni influence, its just whatever the random number generator in my head produced at that moment.

Cool.:)
Some of the rhytmic aspects reminded me of some Yemeni taqasim I heard.
Nice phrasing.:)

Thanks again Jono.

تسلم يا فاضل. اكيد من الافضل في البدايه تعلم مقطوعات معينه وانا استطيع ان اعزف عدد لا بأس به من السماعيات . ساحاول تسجيل احدها واضافته.

I will try and record a piece like a Samaii and post it.

By the way, the oud I'm playing is the one I built last year.
