The point is, that Facebook, Twitter and Google archive all of your data, every detail (even after you deleted it), and sell them to other companies.

Also ... nowadays employers check out, what you write there ... they are especially interested in political topics and if you have any chronically illnesses.

That's why I will never be a member of anti-social communities ;)

No offense intended ... just a warning, to be careful, what you write there.

Greetings from Germany

Hi.
Most of my friends are on facebook.
I always didn't trust it at all, but that's just me...
I don't hassle people who are, just my personal decision.

hello Aymara
  • it's up to every member what he is publishing in FB
  • I'm wondering If someone would publishing in FB something about his health
  • Political topic? Theese can be found easyer in this forum, as you have a search function here - not in FB

  • It's up to every member what he is publishing.
  • And I'm now a member since 1 1/2 years and got never any spam caused by FB.
  • On the other hand, I got a lot of interesting contacts around the world of the oud and related instruments and music and can communicate with those I sometime have met somewhere on festivals or something else.
  • Got a lot of informations about interesting events.
  • and you can cancel every contact whenever you want if you think you do not want to get their posts any more

I am a member and I like it

Matthias

Anonymous against facebook -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFpTGHDFQB8 November 5th 2011...

I already had problems with my job because of facebook. I'd added a disabled worker inadvertently and the day after most of the medico-social pinned me up. I removed all my work contacts and I try to talk only about music. Without facebook I would miss great infos, like this score provided by a member of facebook.

I guess the best use is a smart use

well, you can strangle a person with an oud string, but that doesn't mean one should play a stringless oud.
same with facebook here)

Yes, shure, but many people don't know the consequences, so I thought it might be helpful to post these.

You are right, that all forums show ones opinions, but you can count on it ... the oud forums are not known to the most of our employers, but FB is weeell known, very well ;)

As I said before ... no offence intended to FB members.
