1971 Der Berdossian oud
Hello
Is it usual to find a plate like this on the soundboard of a (supposed) Der Berdossian oud, behind the bridge ?
Could it be a restoration ?

Thats interesting. This may be from a later date. This may have been put on to prevent sweat from staining the top. It can be removed by a luthier.

I've done a search and haven't find Der Bedrossian oud with this sort of plate.
It seems that I'll not be the owner, the seller don't answer me

I don't believe that a plate in this area would affect the sound. It looks like it was added, but a long time ago.
Looks like a good oud.
