what sizes of wood do i need to select for making a oud


hi all I'm looking at selecting my own wood to get made in to a oud but need some advice i want to get a 7 course oud made does anybody have any idea what sizes i would need for bowl neck pegbox and sound board also what woods would be the best to use?

You can buy Dr. Oud's book. As far as I've heard, all the measures and processes of making an oud are given in that. The sound board is usually made of cedar or spruce and the fingerboard of ebony. The rest of the wood choice is variable.
