Arabic Oud for Turkish/Greek/Armenian Music, & Bouzouki and Oud

Hello everyone, don't know if you were aware of this, but one of my favorite oud players (Marko Melkon) played an Arabic oud, with Arabic tuning, but played Greek/Turkish/Armenian music.
Also wondering, what are peoples opinions on oud and bouzouki (trixordo) together? My favorite bouzouki player, Jack Halikias oftentimes played with oud, kanun, and sometimes violin players, and it sounds excellent (these are home recordings, not released yet). Melkon and Halikias actually played together at the Kismet in 1949, and there is an article in a newspaper for it. Halikias was a very humble man, but one of his best friends, business partners, and "amateur" (but excellent) oud player, Tom Thantos "Laxanada" took the review's author as insulting Halikias playing, and kept him in line! Also does anyone have information on George Englezos? Halikias Jr. has a picture of him and Melkon.
