FARUK TÜRÜNZ ON TV

Hi folks,

I would like to share a YouTube link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00HCihA6jJA

The young lady is interviewing with me. Some of the corners in my workshow are shown in action.

Enjoy...

Thank you, Master Faruk!
Even though I understand no more than 10-20 words - it was a real great pleasure to watch the interview in your workshop and hear you talking. Such nice people! ;)

I have a question about the "dark-neck-reinforcement-strips" underneath the fingerboard. Which material do you use on these? Is it some kind of carbon or ebony hard wood?
Or a factory secret?

Thanks and greetings!

A propos the truss rod discussion ... how tall are these bars and what are they made of?

Thank you ultragroove...
The narrator lady asked how I started to make ouds.
I told her that I had first seen and touched an oud when I was ten. One day my father came home with a big black fabric touch in his hand. We took an object out of the touch. To me it looked a musical instrument but did not know which one... Dad said it " look...this is an oud!" I asked " is this that???" I was narrating my unforgettable memory: What a marvelous thing it was and what a marvelous moment for me. I fell in love with the oud at first site. I had been listening the oud taksims of Yorgo Bacanos on the radio and been admirer of the oud sound. "
The story goes on in this way...
I n the progressive minutes I narrated some technical details on the oud instrument and some basic information about the construction processes.
The two black welts are carbon fiber, not a construction secret :)

Warm regards...

My pleasure, rica ederim...:)

In all my ouds' necks two carbon-fiber reinforcement welts are embedded.
