Le Trio Joubran- name that maqam!

I am a huge fan of Le Trio Joubran and a lot of their music has greatly influenced my oud playing. I've been sitting here doing some "ear training" by trying to learn this song, and in about 25 minutes or so (trying to work on my ear!), I figured out the main melody and was playing along to the song quite fluently.

The song gets a bit more complex towards the end with 3 overlapping ouds it made it hard for me to learn the whole song, but I am comfortable with what I have, for now.

In the main melody I learned, it only uses the notes B, C, D, E, F#, & G...and at the end of each phrase it seems to always resolve back to B.

My knowledge on Arabic music theory isn't that comprehensive, as I am mostly self taught. But, I checked maqam worlds's maqam index and didn't see any maqams starting on B. Only Bb and Bb(1/2).

Here's the actual song,

Could anyone tell me what maqam this song is in?

Kurd (Phrygian mode) transposed to B, I think. Very nice. Have you picked out the time signature on this song?

If it is a kurd transposed to B , the maqam will have both F#& Gb , theoretically

Hmm, seems like Kurd transposed to B/ Phrygian mode could be it! As for the time signature..I was thinking it was in 6/8, but I'm not sure. Did you pick one out?

Time signature sounds like 6/8 to me. I don't perceive any larger pattern to define is as 12/8 or something else, but I could be wrong.

Kurd on B would have F# and G, not Gb.

B C D E F# G A B

Yes, 6/8, of course. I was trying to find a longer phrase and missing the basic beat!
