Michael Moussa is based in Yorkshire, here is his web address: http://www.magicstrings.co.uk/

I have played a couple and can vouch for their quality, both had very low action without unwanted buzzing at the nut and a deep, clear sound with good even tone across the neck.
at $1000 (about £800) they are well worth it.

regards

I think the currency conversion is the following.
$1000 (us dollars) = €800 (euros)= £630 (british pound)

Sorry, I meant £600, but got my numbers mixed:shrug:, as that is what a friend payed for one.

Thanks for clarifying the exchange rate and price.:D

hello sonny
how jealous i feel of you fellow oudists in uk- having the chance to attend the birth of michael moussa's new babies that are all different but still having one thing in common:the supreme excellence thanks to his own print that evolved over the years to a magic touch. his prices are fixed and have not changed over the past 20 years
simply $1000 /$1300 depending on the material/ornamentation- but craftmanship and sound quality are the same.
Currently he is making less of ouds but more of music-
One of his latest master pieces was a replica of algohari in rosewood which i have been chasing for a while as one of the greatest oud ever- which should have gone to somebody who deserves it.
so get it touch with him and you will be amazed
MAY I ASK OUR FRIEND WHO GOT THAT OUD TO PRESENT TO AS
the pirate

Hi fellow oudist Sonny
I totally agree with Bohdi and the pirate-If you are in UK or (even over seas), Michael Moussa is the one.
Now then pirate, you 've whet my appetite regarding that oud, I know that michael use the zebrano not the rosewood for this particular style- and how come an oud pirate as you are you let go of this hit!!!!
