My concert
Dear London-based oudists,
I am playing a solo recital, just me and the oud, tomorrow Friday the 19th of October.
The venue is called Yala Yala Arabian Nights, and it's a Arabic foodstuff restaurant with a big gorgeous shisha room at the back, wonderfully
furnished.
The address is 63 Walthamstow High Street, London E17 7AD. Tel. (0044 0)208 521 7603. Nearest tube/train station is Walthamstow Central (Victoria
line).
I will start at 21.00. The concert will last approximately one hour, but depending on the circumstances that might stretch to one hour and a half.
Material will include Algerian, Egyptian, Greek, Turkish. Iraqi, Gypsy, Flamenco pieces plus naturally a lot of improvisation.

Busy day though, dunno if I'll make it up to Walthamstow by 9pm, I'm at exactly the other end of London before....

I am trying to get hold some vids shot at the Green Note and the Elephant and Castle Pub by members of the audience. Failing that, I will shoot
professionally through a contact a few performances for promotional purposes in a couple of weeks. For strictly sounds, I'm afraid there will be only
the EP whose recording is imminent. Which, by the way, has none of the "traditional" or "classic" oud playing........it has my own oud playing on it,
that's all.........
