Mohammedi Bros. Barbat SOLD

Hi everyone,

I am planning a move abroad and to fund this I am having to sell my Mohammedi Bros. Barbat. It is 1 year old and the sound is something else! The workmanship is second to none and it plays beautifully. Still everytime I play it I am amazed.

1,500 Euros new it would be 2,250 Euros. European Shipping included. Any reasonable offers will be considered.

Includes the custom built hard-case.

I would also take a part exchange as I can't be without an Oud:D. the minimum I would like to recieve is 1000 Euros and an Oud or Setar I will enjoy.

Details:
Body: rosewood with maple stripes
Neck & pegbox: walnut wood
Nut: ibex horn
Bridge: bone saddle on rosewood.
Fingerboard: ebony
Number of Ribs: 15
Soundboard: bavarian spruce(grade AAA)
Rosette: walnut wood
Bracing: arabic / persian
Finish: french polish (shellac)
Scale: 60cm, 11 string

Here are the pics and sound clip;

No, I am Bodhi and its me playing. Thanks for the compliment. I know Owain, as we live in the same town, we must both have "that Morecambe look"!

Thanks

Yes perhaps we'll meet one day, but as I am moving abroad it unlikely. I will say hello to him when he returns my calls (ignorant git:))

Thanks

Good luck with the move - hope it is a sunnier place than the UK.

Cheers

More Pics

Just some more pics. One with the Action height at the body-neck joint,

VERY IMPORTANT!!!
PLEASE REMEMBER the body neck joint is a whole tone higher on a Barbat.
The action there is 4mm which gives about 3.5mm where a normal Oud would have its body-neck joint.

If this is too high for some, the saddle could drop another 1mm, this is a very cheap job (around £15 in the UK, I know from recent experience) and an easy job for any guitar Luthier. So no neck reset needed.

Heres the Pics
