Hi Alex, congrats on completing your first bowl.. Its a milestone in itself. Please tell me what the pattern scheme on this bowl is. I see different colors . Is that dye or different kinds of wood?

Thank you kindly. All colors are natural pieces of wood, I used no dyes, but since the store in San Diego that carries these types of wood ribs is very limited, I was not able to do all 1 or 2 colors. There were mistakes made as it was very difficult since I didnt have all the necessary equipment, but believe me, I have learned from certain mistakes I made and now my next goal is to finish it and hope that it has a decent sound, if not it will be hung on the wall and I will plan on my second one.

I also ended up buying a router in order to inlay the banding strips, which kind of gave it a face lift. I will post more photos as I go.

Thanks for your feedback.

Mabrook Alexi.
for a first oud bowl its a great effort.

Also its very unique this oud, it looks like it was signed by Zoro! :)

You have the right attitude. finish this first one and learn from your mistakes for the next one.
