Three very nice recordings from a home-studio seminar in crete this week

Hello i would like to share these with you. We attended this seminar at the instruction of Efren Lopez Sans. During the week we learned the pieces (one his, one mine, one byzantine hymn), recorded, mixed and mastered them. The final result is very nice and well worth a listen!

Really nice recordings, Masel!
Three tunes entirely different in moods, but each one is amazing.
Turkish/greek or arabic tuning on the oud in these tunes?
Thanks for this post.

Just listened to these and had to log in to reply - lovely pieces ... I have to say the sounds of spring in the background pull on my heart strings just as much as the music.

Thanks for posting

Yep, lovely intro & outro, I'm not sure if it's the recording or the birds outside :)
Well to start the day off right, thanks :applause:

we edited in the sound of the birds to give the feel of what it was like, they were there all the time.

in the first piece i play the low oud (arabic tuning with Fa tuned down to Mi, the tonic was La), and Efren played a turkish ud with turkish tuning, so his tonic was second open string, mine fourth open.
in the third piece (the song) I played normally tuned arabic oud.

thanks for the comments.
