Kalthoum's maqamat

Does anyone know the maqamat that were used in Lissa Faker and Leilet Hob? They are not specified on the almashriq website. I know that maqam shawq afza was used in Lissa Faker, are there others?

Thanks,

Rosanna

Maqamat

Hello Rossana, and welcome to the forums here...
About ur question, Lissa Fakir is practically Ajam, however u are not wrong about Shawq Afza, since there is a switch to Hijaz in upper part of scale (near the end of the verse). Of course when I say Ajam, I mean the basic scale, and I dont mention the modulations to other scales (like saba in second verse "Kanit el ayyam...";)
Leilat Hob, if I am not mistaken, is composed by Abdul Wahab on Nahawand scale, I dont remember I heard it as a whole, but I remember part of the intro which I like a lot, and it's nahawand.
Anyone else would like to help Rosanne here and add to what I said? Hope we've been useful to u :) Peace

Yours truly,
Basel :D
