Middle Eastern oud school
This event wil be held Twice a year,
The summer school will be held between 22/08-25/08/2014
All levels are welcome...
An intensive master classes will be given by Ahmad al Khatib and Adel Salameh
10:00-12:30
12:30-14:00, Lunch
14:00-17:30
21:00- Mid night, students can gather together and form their own groups and play and practice the oud
25/08/2014, concert with all the students and teachers will be held at 11:00 at the chapel

after a long silence, I am back with some practical info regarding the Middle Eastern oud camp...
we will have freshly made food served every day by a Syrian chef , food from Syria, Lebanon and Palestine....for those who are vegetarian they must
indicate this...

Dear Friends,
All students will have to study oud with both Ahmad Al Khatib and myself.
All students will have to study percussion with Youssef Hbeich ... after learning the music we will all got together , teachers and students and
perform the music.
We will learn musicality, its very important for us and the art of taqsim. We will study music from both the old and modern Arab repertoire
...
Every morning we will learn a Mowashah , all students have to sing and clap the rhythm of this Mowashah.
Every students will have some private lesson and group lessons ...
A concert with both the students and the teachers will be given at the Chapel

Dear Friends,
I would like to thank you for both your support and interest in the Middle eastern Oud Camp....this year we will focus on the Oud and
percussion...however next year we will have other Arab instruments and Voice... what has really surprised me is the amount of students from the Arab
world especially Palestine and Jordan whom they have applied to join the camp...we will do everything we can to help them with their viasas...

Tomorrow I will be meeting up with masters Ahmad Al Khatib and Youssef Hbeich , we will be heading to Chalet St Paul to start the Oud camp on Friday
... Students from all over Europe will be participating in this wonderful event ... Also we have the honor to welcome the Lebanese oud master Ustad
