What do you want to read about? (oud related)

Hello everyone,

I have couple blogs. Both my websites below in my signature deal with educational things mostly.

I want to know what everybody on the forum wants to read about on these blogs. It can be anything Oud/middle eastern music related.

What do you want to read about?

Thanks for the suggestion. I would like to hear your thoughts on the subject as well. I was inspired to write about it now so here it is.

Very nice Navid!

Another topic that might be useful for beginner/intermediate players is "how to play a taksim". It would apply to Persian, Arabic, or Turkish players. I think this is a common question that isn't well or often addressed as far as I have seen.

Obviously you can't tell someone exactly how to play a taksim...but for example, some guidance on different recommended "requirements", and/or a path to the taksim.

This would also make a great "chapter" or section for your paid course(s), as you could go into more detail with video examples, etc.

Yes. the above is an excellent idea. When I play a taksim I just play a random array of notes/ajnas and I know that's not necessarily the traditional way to do it.

That's great, thank you! I don't have particular thoughts about, just practicing rythm, and I particulary enjoy jurjina and 6 beats. The quote " persians are the kings of 6 " ...i may had said it too. So glad to read your input about.

Thanks so much for the recommendations. The Oud taqsim topic is a big one, but I've written an article that might inspire some thought on the topic. I will definitely consider a more in depth, technical look into taqsim but for now, I was inspired to write more about a suggestion for a general formula for a taqsim, so check it out. I hope you guys like it.

I hope the title isn't too much of a stretch :)) lol
