I'd like to warn people about Nasef & Ragy kanun maker in Egypt.
I put in an order with Nasef & Ragy for $700 that included 2 kanun cases, skins, strings, and rosettes via Western Union. As soon as he got the
money, he blocked me on Instagram and never shipped me the items. Prior to being blocked he was very friendly and cordial. We didn't have any issues
at all. He wont respond to any messages via facebook or whatsapp.
I'd be very careful when dealing with this individual.

John, this is an awful thing to hear. It seems that their page on Facebook is down as well.
I hope that there is a genuine cause for not answering you and you get your money/kanuns as soon as possible.

There is no genuine cause other than he could get away with it as I sent the money on trust never having done business with him. A friend tried to
contact him about my case to no avail.

Actually I highly recommend John Vergara, a part from building very fine ouds, he also builds qanouns of rare quality, I have personally tried one of
his, (I just play a little bit) but i really loved it, balanced sound, easy playability, and wonderful craftmanship and carpentry.

Thanks for recommendations. John's Kanun are too expensive. $7000. They are around $1000 to $2000 from other countries.
