Interduce myself, question about tuning and an offer + news

Hi. I'm Leon and I've been a proffetional classical-neo-flamenco guitar player and now
Stepping my first's steps with an oud that i bought from unknown source
By the ear. He sounds great. But, a issues:

Tuning. I find that some pegs are loosen and drown the pitch all the time. + the nut react to the tuning in delays... Not smooth. i tune up... and the oud is not reacting... i tune a bit more and it jumps higher then the pitch i wanted.

where is the problem?

Thank you for any kind of information!
---
B.T.W I live in the middle east right now and i have friend
that can get any oud that he wants, his
father was a known dealer that retired from businesses
but still have the connections
i can say that he is the
so if anyone what me to send him in better prices then
the websites or what he can't find in website, i can arrange
from him and send to you by mail. just as a favor (for him and you), not
for me doing any money from that.
---
also i have news: sukar began to manufacture oud
again but and copied the factory to Jordan, starting now slowly
with 7 workers.

Hi Leon,

the tuning problem you discribed I know. Mainly the wound strings like to make problems, slipping over the nut, or, if you turne more, slip to much.
You can try to make the way where it moves more slippy, using graphit (take a smooth pencil).
You can drawfile the channel, but be careful not to disjust the stringaction!

The mohammadi brothers in teheran tryed to stop this problem in a special way, look at their website.

Good luck!

thank you :)

Yes untill you answered i heard about those solutions. But my friend
That had that oud business told me just to change the nut to a bone
Not. So i bought from a local lutier a few bones and i will try to
Design them to fit the oud.
He told me that he offer not to round them and just make it in 45 degrees
Or more (to the angel of the pegs) and just round a bit where the string thouch the nut from the peg.
And for the placing of the string just to mark a very shallow line...
Does anyone uses that system here?
